By September 24, 2026 Daron Tate

Nashville, Tenn. – Americana and Roots artist Daron Tate just released his second single for Bonfire Music Group, dropping the original song “Tell Me Friend” across digital and streaming platforms. Written entirely by Tate and co-produced with chart-topping Roots and Bluegrass artist Danny Burns, the new release follows his debut single, “Feelin’ Good Again,” and continues to introduce listeners to the diverse influences shaping his sound. “Tell Me Friend” is available for download and/or streaming HERE.

Tate describes the music and artists that influenced his sound: “in ‘Tell Me Friend,’ you’ll hear inspiration from my earliest Red Dirt musical influences – folks like Bob Childers, Tom Skinner, and Greg Jacobs – as well as recent influences, such as Ryan Bingham, Jason Isbell, and Hayes Carll.”

Written entirely by Tate, “Tell Me Friend” explores the lingering questions and emotions that can accompany the once-tight grip and slow slipping away of a relationship. The recording allows Tate’s lyrics and lived-in vocal delivery to carry the story, with Burns helping shape an arrangement that brings the song’s emotional weight to the forefront. The release follows Tate’s debut single, “Feelin’ Good Again,” his Bluegrass interpretation of the Robert Earl Keen classic. The debut turned heads upon its release and received heavy airplay on SiriusXM and terrestrial radio, introducing Tate to audiences across the Roots and Bluegrass music communities.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and shaped by years spent between Oklahoma and Washington, D.C., Tate draws from a wide range of musical and cultural influences. Raised within a tribal community, his songwriting explores themes of land, family, tradition and personal experience, while his early exposure to Oklahoma’s Red Dirt scene helped shape his musical identity. Tate witnessed early performances from artists including Medicine Show, Red Dirt Rangers, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Jason Boland in Stillwater, Oklahoma, while songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt and Waylon Jennings have also influenced his approach to storytelling. A southern-style powwow singer, Tate has performed with groups including the Zotigh Singers and East Coast Singers. He is currently in the studio working on his upcoming album, which will be released through Bonfire Music Group at a later date.
