Bonfire Recording Company announces the July 6th self-titled release from Indiana bluegrass band, Borrowed Tyme. The album marks a series of upcoming releases produced by Tony Wray (Blue Mafia, Tyminski) for Bonfire Recording Co. and Studios including some original material of his own.
“I’ve been with Pinecastle for several years”, said Wray. When given the opportunity to do the same with Bonfire Recording Studio, I jumped at the offer! An awesome studio space, people that care about the artist, top-notch equipment with great artists and engineers. Looking forward to working there for many years!!”
When the band was contemplating where to start recording their first album, Wray was the first to come to mind. The band asked him to produce, record, mix and master the album. “They have grown as a band and I couldn’t have been happier with the performance on this project. If You want good traditional grass with originals written by the band, this is the perfect CD for you.” Formed in late 2015, Borrowed Tyme’s vocal harmonies are often heard soaring above Roger Brown’s clean, crisp mandolin style and Josh Wood’s driving style of banjo. Rounding out the other half of the group is Dan Canerday and his seasoned style of guitar and Rick Wilson’s dynamic bass playing.
