New EP ‘Hurricane’ Out Now Featuring Collaborations With Steve Earle, Sarah Jarosz, Aubrie Sellers, Dan Tyminski, Jerry Douglas, Tim O’Brien and Sam Bush

Nashville, Tenn. – Rising Americana singer/songwriter Danny Burns is charging forward with the promotion of his latest EP, Hurricane. Released last month on Bonfire Music Group, the collection features six new recordings including collaborations with Steve Earle, Sarah Jarosz, Aubrie Sellers, Dan Tyminski, Jerry Douglas, Tim O’Brien and Sam Bush. To celebrate the occasion, Burns will appear this weekend on Earle’s Hardcore Troubadour Radio show airing on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country (learn more HERE).

In addition to the appearance on satellite radio, Burns also just unveiled the official video for his single “Trouble” exclusively on CMT (watch it HERE). It was filmed in scenic Puerto Morelos, Mexico on a baseball diamond. The recording also features Aubrie Sellers, Dan Tyminski and Jerry Douglas. Throughout the video, Burns is kicking up dust, serving sunny rays and even doing some minimal dancing along the way.

Following its April 30th release, Hurricane stormed its way onto the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart, debuting inside the Top Ten earlier this week. Following its release, the project went straight to No. 1 on Amazon’s Contemporary Folk New Releases Chart. In addition to Americana, Folk and Bluegrass circles, it’s also hitting a chord with Country audiences alike. Currently, the EP sits at No. 3 on both Roots Music Report’s Country Album Chart and Americana Country Album Chart, a new personal best for Burns.

The project hasn’t wasted any time turning heads, with the lead single “Many Moons Ago” featuring Sarah Jarosz being included in No Depression’s Best of April Playlist. The reviews are also beginning to pour in, with Folk Alley saying “Danny Burns is playing at the top of his game on Hurricane. It’s a powerful testimony to his songwriting and his vocal ebullience, and the album celebrates, even in the midst of songs of lament, the overwhelming solace music brings to our souls.” Vents Magazine adds, “If you aren’t familiar with Irish-born Americana singer Danny Burns, he’s definitely someone who needs to be on your radar.”
